The Spark Technical Training Program
Recently, twenty-two participants from the city of Mati achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing the Spark Technical Training on Social Media Marketing 2.0. This innovative program focused on AI-powered interaction and spanned over ten impressive days, emphasizing essential digital skills that align with current industry demands.
Collaboration and Community Support
This initiative was implemented by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in collaboration with the city government of Mati. Key stakeholders, including the Office of the City Mayor, Public Employment Service Office, and the City Social Welfare and Development Office, played integral roles in facilitating this program. Their combined efforts exemplify the commitment to enhancing the local workforce's digital skill set.
Graduation Ceremony Highlights
The graduation ceremony was a momentous occasion, graced by dignitaries such as Assistant Regional Director Aris B. Austria and City Mayor Hon. Joel Mayo Z. Almario, represented by Mr. Kerl Daligdig from the Local Youth Development Office. Attendees included representatives from various city offices, reflecting the community’s support for digital literacy initiatives.
During this event, plaques and certificates of appreciation were awarded to partners for their contributions, while the participants received their certificates along with Spark medals. The medals, crafted with the help of Cienro, highlighted the achievements of the graduates.
Remarkable Outcomes and Future Prospects
The training program, facilitated by Mr. Wilmark Econar, a seasoned expert in social media marketing, yielded impressive results. Out of the 22 graduates, 14 participants successfully secured employment opportunities shortly after graduation. These individuals were also recognized as medalists for their exceptional performance throughout the training.
Collectively, these graduates generated an impressive total of ₱581,212.82 in earnings during the training period. Notably, three scholars managed to secure international clients, demonstrating the potential reach and competitiveness of Mati City’s digital workforce.
This successful training program reaffirms the commitment of Wilvalue, DICT and its partners to empower Filipinos with future-ready digital skills.
